Topic: Memory Maker - Coming Home

Topic type:

Credits for organisations and individuals providing content for remix in the Coming Home Memory Maker.

You can craft your own expression of what 'Coming Home' means with an easy-to-use video mixing tool on the Auckland War Memorial Museum website.

Remix photographs, graphics, film clips, and music from the First World War and after, and then share your new video with friends and family.

A few tips for new remixers:

  • Double click on the thumbnail to see a preview of the item
  • Graphics go in the Titles & Overlays part of the timeline
  • Look at different categories to see more Graphics
  • Videos and graphics can't play together - check the time length of your video (double click)
  • After dragging and dropping, double click on the thumbnail for more options (like changing colours and so on)
  • To delete thumbnails from the timeline, drag and drop to the trash (bottom right).

The DigitalNZ Memory Maker application is hosted by the Auckland Museum and contains content from members of the National Digital Forum (and others) for you to remix in commemoration of Coming Home: the 90th Anniversary of the end of World War I.

The remix software was developed by Ideum.
